Daher specializes in the design and supply of equipment and services to the aerospace industry.

Rolls Royce is a key customer for Daher in the UK. At Rolls Royce’s Inchinnan factory, Daher manages the Finished Parts Store, handling the management and distribution of packaging for engine manufacturing facilities.

Previously, Daher managed the receipt of parts and kit boxes, and the picking and distribution of kits and spares using an Excel spreadsheet. But it was labor-intensive, error-prone, limited in functionality and had no auditable history.

Daher asked Waer to implement WaerLinx to manage the inventory in the Finished Parts Store, handling receipt, inventory, picking and dispatch.

WaerLinx has led to some dramatic improvements at the Inchinnan factory:

  • Accuracy and traceability: Kitting provides accurate, realtime stock records with a complete audit history for warehouse transactions and stock movements.
  • Total visibility: online reports and enquiries have greatly improved the visibility of stock information for Daher users and for Rolls Royce planners.
  • Improved efficiency: barcode scanning technology has improved the speed and accuracy of data input. Manual data input has been minimized, and unnecessary activity eliminated.

"WaerLinx has enabled us to run the operation with the degree of organization and control expected in the aerospace industry, but it also has the flexibility to cope with changing customer demands."
